Feed additives

 

After BSE and dioxin contamination the animal production sector and the materials used in feed to nourish animals are under the same close control as any other segment of the food chain. In the European Union all permitted feed additives are subjected to a re-evaluation of their safety and efficacy. Significant efforts will be required for those additives which were listed without being documented extensively (e.g. additives used in pet food, food additives used in feed, flavouring agents).

 

We support manufactures of feed additives and companies involved in the value chain of these compounds in the regulatory work required to secure the legal status of these product. A special focus is preparing for and with our clients the dossiers for the FEEDAP panel as required by the new European legislation for the periodic re-evaluation of feed additives. We offer such services specifically for feed additives with a sensory, nutritive or technical function.
